Cash Money/Young Money CEO and Rapper Lil Wayne is Facing Up To A 15 Year Sentence

Rapper Lil Wayne is going to jail as part of a plea deal to avoid a longer term behind bars on gun charges. According to reports, Lil Wayne will plead guilty for his possession of a .40 caliber gun found on his bus in 2007. Lil Wayne was expected to protest his innocence, But an announcemnet by authorities that they were to confirm Lil wayne's DNA was found on the gun making the chances of a conviction far more likley,bought about change.

Under the deal, Lil Wayne will reportedly plead guilty for possession in exchange for an 8-month term in jail. If 8 months sounds harsh, Lil Wayne could have faced 15 years behind bars for each count of criminal weapons posseession and criminal possession of a loaded weapon.It's believed that authorities will drop the other charges in return for the guilty plea on the lesser charge. Lil Wayne joins a long list of rappers who have faced or spent time in jail.

Adam Streisand, who scored a victory for Katherine last week in the estate case, tells TMZ the case would be filed on behalf of Katherine and Michael's three children. But Streisand adds, the biggest factor against filing suit is that Murray is asset-challenged -- i.e., he can't even pay his child support.

Streisand said he's actually rooting for Dr. Murray to file a claim for wages against AEG, adding "At least then we'd have some money to take from him."

Marshall Gang Fight Occurence

Tuesday morning at Marshall High school several students was arrested after a fight broke out around 10:00a.m that morning on the second floor. Marshall Students that saw the fight said that” the fight was gang related and that it started last Friday,when an unknown male student was jumped on by three or four other Marshall High school students.

Other sources say a male student who was escorted by a parent brought a gun into the school and students were forced to be dismissed by floor while all After School Programs were cancelled due to the dangerous and safety environment that students were in. Some students feel like  Marshall should be shut down because of the ongoing reputation of gang related violence surrounding the neighborhood area and school. Sophomore Whitney Collins, said "The school should be shut down because its dangerous," others feel the same. While the Board of Education and Security meet with the administration this past wednesday, students and parents fear that this incident will be an ongoing issue throughout the school year.

President Obama Wins The Nobel Peace Prize

On Friday Oct. 9 2009 President Obama won the Nobel peace prize.After winning the prize president Obama stated that he was humble To have won the Nobel peace prize because He felt it was a call of action to work with other nation and their problems.


After winning The Nobel Peace prize Obama donated 1.4 million dollar to charity.Obama said he was going to fly to Oslo. To accept the Nobel peace prize, other parties that benefit from the said it would be a slap to the committee, but since awards are being given for atmospherics,  According to yahoo.com, others said Obama could easily write the justifying language: Obama also said he's honored and humbled but he has merely articulated the common aspirations of all mankind. As it is mankind's global challenge, no one man can claim a prize with so much work left to be done. It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us.

John Marshall Metro high school's Multimedia Publishing program is an apprenticeship program that is facilitated by After School Matters. This program introduces students to the world of publishing through a variety of creative outlets. The Multimedia Publishing program will be producing a radio show that will be available through podcast. This blog is to introduce and follow the all new 32.5 CVOM Radio show, representing the Creative Voices Of Marshall. The radio show will cover the latest news and gossip, hot topics, fashion, music, movies, sports, and more. Discussions will be introduced about current events in and around our school and community, which will allow students, faculty, parents, and community members a chance to respond and discuss topics presented.
